Integrity. Accountability. Teamwork. Values learned, lived and breathed as a 31 year retired Air Force retired veteran. The military refined my work ethic, but I credit my father with establishing a firm foundation. He was a financial planner for more than 30 years, and operated his own business, a path I follow. His dedication to his craft, passion for excellence, and care for his clients left an indelible mark on my life.
As an entrepreneur, I used these skills to bootstrap a telecommunications business from ground zero to $2.4m in revenue within three years. After 11 years of business ownership. I transitioned into financial services bringing a unique perspective as a former business owner and military planner.
One of the greatest parts of my military experience was being part of something greater than myself and helping people achieve more than they believed possible, often under stressful circumstances. This included four deployments, including a tour in Iraq as well as serving as a commander three times.
I carry that same passion into financial planning. It’s tremendously fulfilling to guide people toward their goals and passions. But most importantly, it’s fulfilling to work towards a comfort with their financial future.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my son play soccer, and home projects. Earned a BS in Business Management with Aviation specialization, MS in Space Science with Minor in Geography. Military graduate of Air War College and Joint Forces Staff College.
Ron Schieck is founder and President Emeritus of Alpha Financial Services. While Ron not longer practices financial advising, he remains a valued member of the team as a mentor as well provided tax preparation services for individuals and businesses.
Before entering the world of finances, Ron spent 16 years in the field of engineering, where he served in roles from department and project management to systems administration. While the worlds of engineering and finances may initially appear disparate, engineering, after all, is about problem solving. It’s about finding and building the most efficient, practical, and workable solutions to a given task.
Wealth managers face similar challenges as they maneuver through countless investment strategies and financial instruments to build wealth in the most efficient manner possible for their clients. Both engineering and wealth, Ron points out, demand creative problem solving that is always measured by tangible results.
Ron enjoys travelling, golfing and the Minnesota Twins. He is also Lakeville High School Boys and Girls Golf Coach.

Aside from his family, Joe’s passion is numbers, which encouraged him to earn a degree in finance at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN. Before completing his degree, Joe served in the US Navy as a gunner’s mate. Here he embraced the values of service, teamwork and excellence.
Following his tour, Joe assisted his father, an attorney, providing forensic account support to his cases. This detailed oriented approach is Joe’s philosophy on financial planning. While math and numbers may lead the way, it has to balance with a person’s life, goals, and ultimately their comfort level.
Those same diligence and attention to detail skills, drive his other passion — tax preparation and planning. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Joe uses his unique skills to distill complex information into easy to understand plans and recommendations for his clients.
Joe is married and has a daughter. When he’s not working, his best life is spending time watching his daughter and family grow.
