What is a wealth manager, and how do you differ from a financial advisor?
At Alpha Financial, we view that a wealth manager provides comprehensive financial guidance that typically includes investment management, retirement planning, tax strategies, estate planning, and risk management. While some advisors may focus on a single area, wealth managers coordinate all aspects of your financial life under one plan.
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. We are fiduciaries, meaning we are legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times.
What is your investment philosophy?
At Alpha, every investment decision begins with data, discipline, and a clear understanding of your goals. We rely on evidence, not emotion. Your life’s work is not about chasing returns—it’s about managing risk, making informed decisions, and protecting what you’ve worked hard to build. Additionally, our process integrates tax strategy into every investment decision—from asset location and rebalancing to harvesting opportunities.
Who do you typically work with?
We primarily serve individuals, families, and business owners who are looking for personalized, long-term financial guidance. With a particular niche with military families as we are veterans or retired military.
Is there a minimum account size?
Our typical minimum for investment management is $250,000, though we may provide financial planning services for lower balances depending on circumstances.
How are you compensated?
We operate primarily on a fee-based model. This means our compensation comes from a transparent percentage of assets under management (AUM) or a flat planning fee, rather than commissions on products.
Do you provide tax or legal advice?
For taxes, yes. We do have a tax preparation service for those clients seeking comprehensive wealth management. While we do not draft legal documents, we coordinate closely with your CPA and attorney to ensure your financial plan integrates with your overall tax and estate strategy.
Can you help with business succession or liquidity events?
Yes. We help business owners prepare for transitions, from valuation to exit planning, ensuring tax-efficient and strategic outcomes.
What does the onboarding process look like?
It begins with a complimentary consultation to understand your goals and financial picture. From there, we create a customized plan, implement strategies, and provide ongoing reviews and adjustments.
How often will we meet or communicate?
We meet at least annually for a comprehensive review, and we’re available anytime your life or financial circumstances change.
What if I already have an advisor?
Many clients come to us after working with another advisor. We’re happy to provide a second opinion or coordinate a smooth transition if you decide to move your accounts.
How do you protect client information?
We use secure, encrypted systems for data storage and communication, and we adhere to strict privacy and compliance standards.
Where are client assets held?
We partner with independent, third-party custodians such as Schwab, Fidelity, or Pershing to ensure transparency and account safety.
Can I view my accounts online?
Yes. Clients have 24/7 access to their accounts through our secure online portal and mobile app.
Do you offer virtual meetings?
Yes. We work with clients across the country and offer meetings via phone, video, or in-person—whichever is most convenient for you.
